Galapagos Islands coffee is Arabica bourbon and certified 100% organic(OICA). It is cultivated in the volcanic mountains of the Galapagos Islands of Ecuador, where the trees receive a perfect balance of sunlight and rain. Grown at an ideal altitude, this coffee offers exceptional characteristics of flavor and aroma. The coffee is produced on San Cristobel Island and comes from coffee trees first planted by the French in 1869. UNESCO has declared the Galapagos Islands a “Patrimony of Humanity” and laws prohibit the use of chemicals or pesticides.
